Saif Ali Khan is recovering at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after a brutal knife attack at his Bandra West home early on Thursday. The incident unfolded when an intruder confronted the actor's maid, leading to an altercation in which Saif was stabbed multiple times.

Following emergency surgery, medical staff confirmed that Saif is "out of danger," although he continues to be monitored. However, his health insurance details were unfortunately leaked online, sparking outrage and raising concerns over privacy violations.

Saif holds a policy with Niva Bupa Health Insurance, which verified the claim with Mint. The leaked document revealed that Saif had filed a claim for Rs 35.95 lakh for his treatment, with Rs 25 lakh already approved by the insurer. The document also disclosed sensitive information, including his member ID, diagnosis, room category, and the expected date of discharge, which is January 21.

In a statement, Niva Bupa expressed concern over the leak and offered their support to Saif and his family. "We deeply regret the breach of privacy in this incident. Mr. Khan is one of our valued policyholders, and we wish him a speedy recovery. A cashless pre-authorization was processed, and the initial treatment amount has been approved. We will settle the final bills in accordance with policy terms once the treatment is completed."

Neither Saif nor his family have commented publicly on the disclosure of his insurance details.

In response to the attack, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured the public that authorities are making significant progress in the investigation. During a press briefing in Nagpur, Fadnavis, who also oversees the home department, stated, “The police have gathered important clues and are close to identifying the culprit. I believe an arrest will be made soon.”
