Akshay Kumar begins shooting for Bhooth Bangla, shares new poster

Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar's 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa carved a niche of its own despite being a remake of a Malayalam film. The actor-filmmaker duo also gave blockbuster comedies such as Bhagam Bhag, Garam Masala and Hera Pheri. Now, they are back again for another horror-comedy, Bhooth Bangla. Yes, you heard that right! Akshay Kumar has begun shooting for Priyadarshan's film and shared a fresh poster.

His character can be seen sitting on the gate of a bungalow with a lantern in his hand. He wrote, "Beyond excited to be on set with my favourite @priyadarshan.official as we begin the shoot of our horror comedy #BhoothBangla today. Yeh darr aur hasi ka double dose aapke liye ready hoga April 2, 2026 ko! Tab tak ke liye aapke best wishes chahiye."

Akshay announced this film on his birthday this year with a motion poster that saw him licking milk from a bowl with a black cat standing on his shoulders. The film will release on April 2, 2026. As per reports, Wamiqa Gabbi will also join Akshay in the film. As per reports, the movie is said to be based on black magic where Akshay will play the role of a magician along with three female actors.
